Diogo Pais is Managing Director in the Energy and Infrastructure Corporate Finance practice, based in Mexico City. In addition, he serves as Mexico City Office Leader. Diogo leverages more than 15 years of financial advisory experience in assisting oil and gas clients with valuation services for assets, businesses, shares, complex oil fields and working interests of E&P projects for a variety of purposes, including M&A deals, project finance, capital raising, joint venture management, litigation, expert witness, business strategy and financial reporting.

Prior to joining Kroll, Diogo served as Investment Consultant at Accuracy, a European boutique consulting firm in Madrid. Before that, he held the title of Internal Auditor at Galp, a Portuguese oil company. Diogo has also held economic research positions at Apifarma.

His notable clients include International Oil Companies (IOCs) and National Oil Companies (NOCs), which Diogo advised for transactional advisory services that resulted in business acquisitions and assets investments and divestments. Diogo leads Kroll’s Energy and Infrastructure practice, focusing on corporate finance for upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas, renewables, fossil and nuclear power, transmission and distribution assets, utilities and infrastructure projects.

Diogo also serves as member of the Mexico Sub-Chapter Regional Committee for the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN).

Diogo holds a master’s degree in economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the same institution.
